Return & Refund Policy – Blush Bow Cosmetic

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made from Blush Bow Cosmetic (“we”, “us”, “our”) in South Africa. This policy is designed to comply with the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”).

By purchasing from Blush Bow Cosmetic, you agree to the terms below.


1. General Returns Policy

Blush Bow Cosmetic sells illuminated mirrors and related accessories. Because mirrors are fragile products, all returns are subject to inspection and approval in accordance with South African law.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under the CPA or ECTA.


2. Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Faulty Products

Under the CPA, customers are entitled to receive products that are:

  • of good quality,
  • in working order,
  • free from defects,
  • reasonably durable, and
  • suitable for their intended purpose.

If your product:

  • arrives damaged,
  • is defective,
  • is materially different from what was ordered, or
  • does not function as intended,

you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing support@[yourdomain].co.za with:

  • your order number,
  • clear photographs/videos of the issue,
  • and a description of the problem.

Where a product is confirmed to be defective or incorrectly supplied, Blush Bow Cosmetic may, at its discretion and subject to the CPA:

  • repair the product,
  • replace the product, or
  • refund the purchase price.

For CPA-covered defects reported within 6 months, customers may request a repair, replacement, or refund as permitted under Section 56 of the CPA.

Blush Bow Cosmetic reserves the right to inspect and test the product before approving any refund or replacement request.


3. Damage During Delivery

Customers must inspect all products upon delivery.

If the packaging appears visibly damaged:

  • note the damage with the courier before signing, or
  • refuse delivery where severe damage is visible.

Failure to report visible transit damage within 48 hours may affect a damage claim against the courier.

Blush Bow Cosmetic is not liable for damage caused after successful delivery and acceptance by the customer.


4. Change-of-Mind Returns

Blush Bow Cosmetic does not offer refunds or returns for:

  • buyer’s remorse,
  • incorrect colour or size selection,
  • change of décor preferences,
  • accidental orders,
  • or products no longer wanted after delivery,

except where required by South African law.

However, for online purchases covered by the ECTA cooling-off provisions, qualifying consumers may cancel certain online transactions within 7 days of receiving the goods, provided:

  • the product is unused,
  • undamaged,
  • in original packaging,
  • and suitable for resale.

Customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods under cooling-off returns unless otherwise required by law.

Blush Bow Cosmetic may refuse returns where products:

  • have been installed,
  • mounted,
  • altered,
  • damaged by misuse,
  • improperly handled,
  • or are missing original components or packaging.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless defective:

  • custom-made or personalised mirrors,
  • mirrors made to customer specifications,
  • installed or mounted mirrors,
  • clearance or sale items marked “final sale”,
  • products damaged by misuse, negligence, water exposure, power surges, or improper installation.

Custom-made products are specifically exempt from cancellation and return rights where permitted by law.


6. Installation Disclaimer

Blush Bow Cosmetic strongly recommends professional installation.

Blush Bow Cosmetic is not liable for:

  • damage caused during installation,
  • incorrect electrical connections,
  • wall failures,
  • misuse,
  • or installation by unqualified persons.

Any modification or attempted repair by the customer or third party may void warranties and return eligibility.


7. Return Conditions

Approved returns must:

  • be securely packaged,
  • include all accessories and manuals,
  • include proof of purchase,
  • and be returned in the condition received, subject to reasonable inspection use.

Blush Bow Cosmetic may charge a reasonable handling, collection, or restoration fee where products are returned damaged, incomplete, or not in original condition, to the extent permitted under South African law.


8. Refund Processing

Once a returned product has been inspected and approved:

  • refunds are processed to the original payment method,
  • within a reasonable processing period.

Delivery fees, installation fees, customisation fees, and collection charges may be non-refundable unless required by law.

Blush Bow Cosmetic reserves the right to decline refunds where:

  • abuse of the returns system is suspected,
  • the product defect is caused by misuse,
  • or the claim falls outside CPA protections.

9. Warranty Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blush Bow Cosmetic shall not be liable for:

  • indirect damages,
  • consequential losses,
  • loss of profits,
  • installation costs,
  • contractor fees,
  • property damage,
  • or delays caused by suppliers or couriers.

Nothing in this policy excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.


10. Return Procedure

To request a return:

  1. Email support@ellisdiana1992@gmail.com
  2. Include your order number and photos
  3. Wait for written return approval
  4. Do not return products without authorization

Unauthorized returns may be refused.


11. Consumer Rights

This policy must be read together with your rights under:

  • the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, and
  • the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

If any provision of this policy conflicts with South African consumer law, applicable law will prevail.
